Fantasy Fives League

This is the first ever fantasy football league for 5 a side teams and players.

We all know and love Fantasy Premier League and watching the points role in as Mo Salah and Harry Kane grab their umpteenth goals of the season.

But we're switching it up so 5 a side players can be their own fantasy stars like never before.

The teams will play their real life games and fight for the 3 points and compete for league titles and promotions.

Each player will then get their fantasy points based on the weekly score lines and their position.

So let's see which team and individual comes out on top as the best fantasy performers.

Meet the teams

The Rules

Each week the real life teams who have signed up for the league will play their games and submit their score and players who played.
This will be submitted via Instagram message and will be checked against the results on the 5 a side league providers websites.
Players for each team are submitted before this fantasy league starts.
Each week, based on the real life result, each individual player will get their fantasy points for that week
Points are calculated as follows:
- Strikers: 1 point per goal up to 5 goals scored, 2 points per goal from 6-10 goals scored, 3 points per goal for 11+ goals scored.
- Midfielders: 1 point per goal for 1-10 goals scored, 2 points per goal for 11+ goals scored, 2 points if the team concedes 5 goals or fewer.
- Defenders: 1 point per goal at any scoreline, 5 points if the team concedes 5 goals or fewer, 10 points if the team keeps a clean sheet
- Goalkeepers: 5 points if the team concedes 6-10 goals, 10 points if the team concedes 1-5 goals, 15 points if the team keeps a clean sheet.
Each position will get 2 points for making an appearance on top of the above points.
Each team can have 8 players that get points each week. We will contact the teams via Instagram to confirm which players played.
If the teams don't reply by the end of the week we will randomly select 5 players to get the points for that week's score (1 goalkeeper, 1 defender, 2 midfielders, 1 striker).
If a team doesn't play one week the result will go down as 'match postponed'. Their game from the week after the league finishes will be used to make up their fourth game. Teams can only have 1 game carried over from postponement.
Players will start off with a value fo £6. Every week if the player gets a certain number of points. If this weekly points score is higher than the value, the value will go up by 50p. If the weekly points score is lower than the player's value then the value will go down by 50p.
At the end of the league the individual player with the most fantasy points will win the league.
In the event of a tie the player with the highest points in the final week will win the league. If this number of points are the same then the player with the most points in the penultimate week will win the league. And so on and so forth.
If multiple players from the same team still have the same number of points after the above calculations, we will ask that team to nominate who they think should win the players league.
At the end of the league the highest scoring 5 players from each team's points will be calculated and the highest scoring team will be the top team of the league.
The league will run from 19th April to 16th May.
The winner of the league (the best individual fantasy player) will get £50 to spend at Sports Direct
The best team of the league (highest points total of the top 5 performing players of each team) will get an hour hired pitch at their preferred 5 a side centre payed for by Fantasy Fives.

Who's Information are we collecting?

We are collecting information of 5 a side teams who play in various 5 a side centres across the UK.

1. We are collecting the following information:

Team name
Player names
Location they play
Day they play

2. How we collected this information:

We collected this information via Instagram direct messages

3. How this data is used

We use player names for the league table and for the team pages overviewing the squads.

We use team names for the team league table.

We use the location and day the teams play to get information about their weekly score lines.

4. How long the data is kept

This data will be kept for the duration of this league (19th April - 16th May) and will then be deleted.

If teams or players follow us on Instagram we will still have access to these individuals and team names after the league has finished.

5. Communication

We will only contact the teams taking part in this league via Instagram direct message. We will not contact any individuals from these teams unless they contact us first on Instagram.

We will also contact the winning player of the league to organise the prize. We'll contact them via their preferred method (Instagram, text, email etc.) and this will be the only time we contact them.
